Intro to Machine Tufting with TIM EADS
February 29, 10-4P (one class only)
Participants will be introduced to using power tufting machines to create rugs by hand. During the 6-hour class, we'll cover the basics of setting up the backing cloth and frame, threading and working the tufting machines. You'll begin creating your own rug or pillow design that is 22" x 22". You will also learn how to cut, glue, and finish a rug for use on the floor or as a wall hanging.
The tufting frame, cloth, and yarn are included in the cost of the workshop.
Additional supplies and the tufting machine will be available for purchase at a discounted price.
Tufting machines will be provided to be used during the workshop so you don't need one to take the class.
